New Articles

[edit]

I propose that for some of the characters who's sections are long enough, such as Phil Leotardo, new pages are created to accomidate them. I am going to create a Phil Leotardo page to start, if no one objects. Cmrodican (talk) 03:15, 1 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Johnny Boy's Wish

[edit]

In many of the character articles, there are several references to Johnny Boy's (Tony's father) supposedly dying wish for his son to become captain after his death, yet it is never sourced or cited. This is also mentioned in the Silvio Dante page (regarding Johnny's wish that Tony become captain). Is this even true? What episode (perhaps HBO biography) is this at all discussed? 63.167.255.26 12:38, 24 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Liz LaCerva's relation to the Apriles

[edit]

Is there a solid source for Liz being Richie and Jackie Sr.'s sister? Given that it's never specifically stated that she is their sister in any episode, that she does not appear at Richie and Janice's engagement party and that "niece" and "nephew" are commonly used to denote younger cousins on "The Sopranos", there is room for discussion on this. It seems just as likely that the Apriles are related to Adriana's absent father.

General Information

[edit]

This article was created by moving content from the article List of characters from The Sopranos - this move was undertaken to reduce the size of the original article. The move was suggested and agreed upon by another 2 editors. --Opark 77 18:47, 19 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Links to the article use the subsection headings to link straight to the correct character. If you need to change a character's header please consider if it's really necessary and if you do change it try to track down links to the character in the episode guides etc.--Opark 77 18:47, 19 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Primary, Secondary and Tertiary

[edit]

As of the 27 April 2006 there are 20 main characters, 14 secondary characters and approximately 180 tertiary characters in our list. These divisions are arbitrary and open to personal interpretation. This has caused some argument on the main page in the past.

I was wondering if there are any conventions for determining who is what sort of character? I think it would be useful to try and reach a consensus on these conventions and produce guidelines for the decision on the importance of a character.

A discussion of the status of characters can be found here. I think it is best placed on the main article List of characters from The Sopranos and would urge anyone interested to join in there. -Opark77

Category tags

[edit]

Category:Lists of characters from The Sopranos is a subcategory of both Category:Lists of fictional characters and Category:The Sopranos characters, so there is no need to explicitly tag this article as a member of those categories as well. --Paul A 07:00, 31 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Shorthand episode index requested

[edit]

When a character is listed in the header of a non-episodal article of multi-episode/ multi-season TV series (as is this one) only as

Appears in: "Members Only", "Join the Club", "The Ride", "Kaisha", "Soprano Home Movies", "Made in America,"

I'd much like that episode titles be unobtrusively tied to the chronology of the series. E.g. by appending an informative short label "[II:3]" to the title making it "Members Only [II:3]" (Roman numeral for season followed by a colon and Arabic numeral delineating its place in the timeline of seasons and episodes).

I realize that a linked title can always be visited to gain that knowledge, but then the context of original-page reading will be broken. I can well understand that for true fans of a multi-season series placing any named episode in correct temporal order is never a problem, but then they hardly are main readers of these pages. ianf 27vii2010 --80.216.32.217 (talk) 14:21, 27 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

nomination to merge page

[edit]

There are currently five pages which detail the characters in the Sopranos: 1. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_The_Sopranos_characters 2. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_The_Sopranos_characters_%E2%80%93_Friends_and_family 3. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_The_Sopranos_characters_in_the_Soprano_crime_family 4. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_The_Sopranos_characters_in_the_Lupertazzi_crime_family 5. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FBI_on_The_Sopranos

Recommend that these pages all be consolidated to one page. Alternatively, recommend that all pages except List_of_The_Sopranos_characters be deleted. DiabetesT1 (talk) 16:00, 9 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
